Overview of Phulchowki Hiking Day Tour

Phulchowki Hike one of the hike near Kathmandu which is also known as the ‘Godawari’ or ‘Godavari’ hike, literally meaning ‘Hills of Flowers’. Phulchowki Hike is one of the best hiking trails around Kathmandu city which is also known as the hills of flowers due to its varied vegetation.

It is just 14 km southeast of the main city of Kathmandu with an elevation of 2782 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest hiking hills around the Kathmandu Valley. Filled with different vegetation, culture, and religion, the trail is far away from city dwellers but rich with nature and local lifestyle.

Moreover, the trail is tranquil for solitude lovers; it is surrounded by dense forests and wildlife. The trail is filled with different flora and fauna from rhododendron to oak and pine and different species of birds and butterflies make the Phulchowki hill their abode.

Phulchowki day hike can be a short and less time-consuming hike for many. If you want to refresh around Kathmandu with nature, this hike provides mesmerizing views of nature along with the Annapurna and Gaurishanker ranges of the Himalayas.

Apart from nature and Himalayan views, Phulchowki hill is a nearby hiking spot in Kathmandu city carrying religious importance to both Hindu and Buddhist followers.

On the top of the hill, there is a temple of Phulchowki Mai (Mother goddesses) filled with the praying flags and tridents hang around and the panoramic view will be breathtaking for every visitor heading towards Phulchowki Hill.

On some auspicious days, there is a celebration throughout the hill and during the winter we can enjoy the snowfall all around the hilltop with our near and dear ones

    Phulchowki Hiking Day Tour

    Guide from Himalayan Hospitality Journey will pick up from your respective hotel and drive to Godawari for one hour (14 km)

    We start our Hike to Phulchowki Hill via Botanical Garden on the way we will be able to see an Army canteen where we can buy some snacks and enjoy tea/coffee.

    At about 2pm will reach Phulchowki Hill and descend towards Godawari to meet our Car/Jeep/Van. Drive back to KTM.
