How hard is Thorong La Pass?

You will have a proper acclimatization at Manang village as a preparation for Thorong La (5416m ) pass. Before crossing the Thorong La Pass, there are two camps called Thorong Phedi (4,500m) and  High Camp (4,800m). You will have your last night at High Camp before crossing ThorongLa. The climb is gradual but being a high pass, you begin early. We recommend adding extra soups and adequate water with your diet to keep the body hydrated throughout the trip.

Begin your trip with proper gear. Keep informed about the weather forecast and consult frequently with your guide to ensure all your safety. Thorung-La (5416m) is one of the highest passes. The descending section of the trail might be slippery due to hard ice. A careful walk with your group helps to be safe.
