    Bhutan Snowman Trek - Detail Itinerary

    Arrival in Paro (2,235m/7,331ft)

    Arrival day at Paro International Airport, Bhutan’s only international airport in the Paro Valley. After completing the custom process, you’ll meet our guide, who will accompany you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to relax, explore, and adjust to the increased altitude.

    Paro Sightseeing

    You’ll spend the day exploring Paro. Visit the National Museum to learn about Bhutan’s history and culture, then tour the impressive Rinpung Dzong, a fortress monastery. Continue with the exploration to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples.

    Trek to Tiger's Nest

    After an early breakfast, you’ll begin the trek to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched on a cliffside 900 meters above Paro. The trek is challenging but offers spectacular views of the valley. It’s a significant and spiritual site for Bhutanese Buddhists.

    Trek from Drukgyel Dzong to Shana

    tart the trek from Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress, and follow the Paro Chhu river. The trail weaves through forests and villages. By the end of the day, you’ll reach Shana, where you’ll camp for the night.

    Trek from Sharna Zampa to Thangthangkha (3,610m)

    The hike continues through pine forests, offering scenic views of waterfalls and mountain landscapes. At 3,610 meters, you’ll gradually ascend to the campsite at Thangthangkha.

    Rest Day in Jangothang (4,080m)

    Today is the first acclimatization day of our itinerary. We will rest at our teahouse and adjust to the increased altitude. This is also a perfect opportunity to explore the nearby areas and hike to spectacular viewpoints.

    Trek from Jangothang to Lingshi (4,010m)

    Today’s trek takes you through alpine meadows and past glaciers. As you ascend, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Jomolhari. You’ll spend the night camping in Lingshi, a quaint village with scenic views.

    Trek from Lingshi to Chebisa (3,880m)

    From Lingshi, the trail descends to the peaceful and remote village of Chebisa. Along the way, enjoy views of snow-capped peaks and lush valleys. Camp near the town for the night.

    Descend towards Chukarpo, passing through alpine terrain and valleys. We advise you to make a slow and gradual walk and not to exert too much pressure on your knees. This section of the trek offers beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountain ranges.
